Deep window nooks are some of the nicest interior features of a strawbale home. One I plan to incorporate.

Not a lot of detail on this one but I’m liking how small it is and the gable roof.

Medium size straw bale porn. At 1157 sq. ft. this Whidbey Island strawbale cottage stretches the definition of small but what an interesting roof.

Built in 1990 this strawbale studio is 200 square feet with a shed roof. It’s from the Canelo Project a small non-profit organization that Bill and Athena Steen founded in 1989 and whose work centers on the theme – Connecting People, Culture and Nature. While that might be some hippy dippy stuff, this is what I’m looking for.
Their website is amazing as well - http://www.caneloproject.com/
